What a cool idea for a show! Menlo Park is only about a half hour from where I grew up. Which exit? Exit 9 for me back in my undergrad days!

Which exit? Exit 9 for me back in my undergrad days! So you attended the safety school for New Jersey residents who couldn't get into the University of Delaware?

FWIW, Allohak and I lived between Exit 4 and Exit 5 for a couple years. The right exit number depended on which direction one was traveling on the NJT. No exits from the GSP were close to our residence.

Which exit? Hahaha too funny - my aunt actually takes offense that joke and I really have no idea why Does she call her home state "Joisey" by chance?

My apologies for assuming you were a "silly English K-nig-ht." principalagent is grrrrrreat! Which I would associate with Exit 8 (or the new 8A) unless coming from the North.

Which I would associate with Exit 8 (or the new 8A) unless coming from the North. From Princeton's website: From the NORTH/NEW YORK CITY Take the New Jersey Turnpike south to Exit 9 (New Brunswick). After the toll booths, take the first right turn onto the ramp for Route 18 north. Soon after you enter Route 18, take the left side of a fork in the road, staying in the right lane. Immediately bear right for an exit to U.S. Route 1 south/Trenton. Drive south on Route 1 for about 16 miles to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Take the first right off the circle (between the gas stations) toward Princeton. The campus is located approximately a mile straight ahead. See directions to parking lots 21 and 23 for further details. From the SOUTH If you are coming from southern New Jersey, we recommend that you take Interstate 295 north (instead of the New Jersey Turnpike). Take Exit 67 to Route 1 north. Travel about three miles north on Route 1 to the Washington Road exit, which is a traffic circle. Go three quarters of the way around the circle and turn right (between the gas stations) toward Princeton. The campus is located approximately a mile straight ahead. See directions to parking lots 21 and 23 for further details.

She is from Montclair NJ which is a very uppity (almost hipster) nyc suburb. Although NJ officially has no hipsters 🤣😂

No exits from the GSP were close to our residence. I lived in Plainsboro for 4 years and then we moved to Montgomery (Princeton North-ish) for 10 years. I never drove in NJ so exits aren’t too familiar to me 😜 although if we wanted to go north we would just take 206 or route 1.

Maybe all of our New Jersey talk will push a NJ band to finally win a BOA regional this fall!

Maybe all of our New Jersey talk will push a NJ band to finally win a BOA regional this fall! With all of the NJ band going I don't think it's possible. I mean Westfield is climbing up the ranks every year. John P. Stevens peaked 2017 and still wasn't able to beat South Brunswick that year, and Edison is an amazing band can't wait until they make finals. I would love to see Passaic H.S., New Providence H.S., Hillsborough H.S., Roxbury H.S., or South Brunswick H.S.

I don’t know about that but I would not be at ALL surprised considering how Leander is known for throwing a few unexpected contemporary songs into their field productions. Wonder how all of this is going to go over with UIL? 🤣 There is no way they don't play Truckin' looks like your prediction was spot on. 😉

Caught the Hebron vs Denton Guyer game with my little cousin this past Thursday and saw the Hawk’s first real performance. I don’t think I can say the name of the show as Hebron hasn’t announced it officially themselves, but it’s a doozy. They only played the first 5ish minutes of the show (no ballad) and I could tell they’ve upped the musical ante from 2019. The opener is a very familiar piece, especially to fans of Carolina crown. This program should be a beast at comp, but as usual the question with Hebron is if they can meet the extremely high bar they always set for themselves. Sorry for the word vomit here, just wanted to share what I could.

But yes, I went to Jackson County’s first game of the season at their new stadium last night. Their band performed at the end due to an INTENSE yet very quick rain delay. This show is probably one of their more higher quality in my opinion, a lot higher than when I was there at least. Definitely excited to see them as the finale at Powder Springs Prelims!

I must say though, the course of true show design never did run smooth
