I don’t know about that but I would not be at ALL surprised considering how Leander is known for throwing a few unexpected contemporary songs into their field productions. Wonder how all of this is going to go over with UIL? 🤣 There is no way they don't play Truckin' Agreed. Leander is “probably” the best texas band who interprets more contemporary music in their shows. I think you could make a case for CTJ but Leander chooses better less well known songs. Take coral works in 2015 for example that opening song (cant remember exactly the piece) was old but new to us.

They were one of the early adopters of their music in the marching arts, and it seems lots of folks have since jumped aboard the Son Lux train. Son Lux even gave them a shout out on their facebook page that year.

Leander’s show is so eclectic and fun usually. Somehow this show feels safer than the ones they’ve tried before since 2014.

The Woodlands H.S., TX : “Chicago” So excited for this. TWHS sounded like a cross between the Bluecoats and the Blue Devils at 6A SMBC last December, and that was during Covid. I absolutely can’t wait to see (and hear!) what they do with this theme. It’s going to be magnificent!
