Our newest addition to the 1000 Post Club is Marimba11!
Marimba11, or Shane as he is known to friends, is a long time contributor to the band forums, not only in HornRank, but the Music For All forums as well. He’s very passionate about the pageantry arts and has a lot of great things to say about different aspects of the bands and shows we discuss here IMO. He told me that he cares so much about Bands of America because of the focus on GE and the advancement of the activity through show design. He also wanted me to let @jeremiah know how much he appreciates the group and discussion here.
As far as his background, Shane was in the Fort Mill HS band from 2010-2014. He also marched Colts Front Ensemble in 2014 and 2015 where they earned 13th and 14th place in semifinals. He marched Palmetto Percussion Front Ensemble PIW as well in 2015 (where they earned 15th place in finals).
Shane lived in the Charlotte area from 2009 - 2021 but he calls Denver, Colorado home nowadays.
I’m very glad that Marimba11 is here and I look forward to his continued presence in the coming years!

He also marched Colts Front Ensemble in 2014 and 2015 where they earned 13th and 14th place in semifinals. Colts 2014 "Dark Side of the Rainbow" is one of my favorite DCI shows that didn't make finals. Just wonderfully creative.

Colts 2014 "Dark Side of the Rainbow" is one of my favorite DCI shows that didn't make finals. Just wonderfully creative. It was a great show! At time I didn't realize the gravity of pink floyd / wizard of Oz connection but yes it was an innovative show for sure! The best part was we had drama training at move ins by Wayne Harris - it was a great season to be a part of. I'm more of a classical music kind of person so it wasn't the first show I would have chosen, but I followed my front ensemble instructor here. Anyway it was a great time to be at the colts I wouldn't have traded it for anything, finals or not.
