I wanted to create a thread for people to give love to marching bands. This is a place for you to give thought out messages to or about programs that you like or enjoyed this season. You can talk about your alumni program or you can talk about any other program. Some examples of things you may find yourself writing about: - Internal challenges that your program overcame and you are proud of. - Giving love to the show design or how your program performed it. - Giving praise to other programs you enjoyed throughout the season. I would prefer if these were longer, more well thought out passages. Those are the most fun to read Thank you for taking the time! (P.S this is a great way to build the morale of all of the band members that read these messages about their programs!)

*Not to be confused with the "Talk About Your Program" thread that is used more as an introduction thread.* This is more of a season to season thing and is intended to be a bit more personal.

Camdenton!!! When I first heard about this show I HATED it. Creepy clowns? No way! Little did I know that I would fall absolutely in love with it. Those kids SOLD it. I wish it had been in St. Louis finals but all of the bands that day were incredible so I’m ok with it!! That 1st place at Iowa was completely deserved. Dominic Zanaboni is KILLING IT as head BD and I cannot wait to see where he takes the program. Special shoutout to my brother who was a senior euphonium player who has my whole heart!! This season really really made me proud to be a former Cammie. Also shoutout to that male guard soloist halfway through the show- his name is Logan and I tell everyone the story of how I snuck into the band room to grab him a flag and show him the ropes his 7th grade year. Look at that kid now! This program is amazing!!
Also of course huge shoutout to Broken Arrow! To Roman, Liv, Clayton, and Katie- you are incredible and I am so happy to know you! I am such a huge fan of the BA band program. To have students so skilled and professional yet so kind is an incredible achievement. I will be watching all three times this weekend and I would do so much to be there to cheer them on!! I love love love band y’all!!

Pretty much copy/pasting my praise of this group from another thread, most of it anyway, some of it I’m just typing up now: HEBRON!!! Pretty much my favorite group to watch every year personally, it was always a pleasure to catch this year’s show whenever I had the opportunity!! Knowing exactly what I was getting into with y’all, I always get blown away every time(copy/paste with some additions begins here)Every section was ridiculous this year, their capabilities as a whole brass ensemble in having both such lush sounds when need be, to biting, powerful, but whole in their tone when going into the extremes of their upper dynamic range, not to mention their technical sections are just insane!! Often they leave me with the most emphatic of impressions of any band any given season just ‘cause of how crazy good they sound! You don’t really see it that often a band start out a show cold to immediately trying to bust a crack in a stadiums foundations to start a show out👀 Their ballads are always so so good with their framework of brass and woodwind ensemble, their richness in blending all of those colors was noticeable to those were able to see it live, with the glue of their saxophone ensemble sealing that tonal blend that you couldn’t possibly overlook and just say they’re another “Texas loud” group👀I’m always looking forward to seeing them in my area in DFW contests whenever I can every year! Haven’t been to any late season contests for several years but I’m definitely gonna try to go to San Antonio next year!

Four times* don't forget the encore! Great start to the thread by the way thank you! Don't quote me on this but if BA wins I believe they're planning on doing a music encore rather than a full run. But I would watch it a fourth time for sure!! There's a couple of seniors out there that are like my little brothers. I wish I'd been able to go to OBA again and cheer them on but I have to settle for GN on the projector now!

Saw it a 3rd time, each time at a different elevation and it was just as special the 3rd time as the first 2.

I considered sticking around for the encore, but after being on my feet for two days running up and down the stairs and the field and across the street to the lot I just wanted to sleep

As a Morton alum, this year has been an absolute blast for me. The staff there truly built the program up from nothing. Back in '09 - '12 when I was there, our point of pride was winning class AA at ISU State competition every year since '05 (a tradition they have continued to uphold). We were just starting to break into the greater BOA discussion (we made semis for the first time in '10 and won AA at St. Louis in '12), but we could never consistently place as well as we wanted to. At Grand Nats 2011, I vividly remember spending most of Friday afternoon rehearsing after our morning performance convinced we would make semis again, only to miss it by a sliver. We were crushed. But now, seeing how far the band has come in the near decade years since my graduation is so gratifying. The seeds of excellence that the directors and alumni sowed all those years ago are really starting to come to fruition! I've never been more proud to be an alum of Morton, and I hope their upward trajectory only continues!

As a Brownsburg alum parent, and I want to hype up this group of kids and what they've accomplished this year. I remember years when my daughter marched that we didn't even made state finals, and now look where they are! I especially want to shout out the front ensemble - several of them are eighth graders, and their dedication, hard work and showmanship has set the bar high. This show has pulled the best out of these kids, and to see them get the recognition they deserve makes me so proud.
I also want to give some hype to Homestead. There has always been some kid of a bond between our cheering sections - they were so supportive through our tough years. Keep bringing it - we love to compete against you and cheer you on.
Major props to Carmel - at the very first competition of the season, I was very meh on your show. But I will admit when I'm wrong. There are some moments in your show this year that make this old guard girl gasp and get goosebumps.
And finally a shout out to Mustang - I'm so glad you will make it to Indy! Brownsburg will be cheering you on all the way - anything you need, just shout, and you know your friends will be there to help.

Firstly, I'd like to say how amazed and proud I am of what everyone was able to accomplish after 2020. My favorite part of the season so far was at 6A state where they had a full retreat and seeing the bands mingling after breaking ranks.
I know Keller didn't have the most exciting or personable show but I'm proud of everything they've done. They had to hear some devastating news earlier in the season but they pushed through like I knew they would. There were changes made to the drill and music, likely due to difficulty and to help ease in the students. And from what I could tell, they had a little more planned with the props so I wish I could've seen the show fully realized. But I'm happy to have watched them at every competition and see their improvement. And it looks like I will have an insider on the program for a couple more years as I have another relative joining them soon!
A big shoutout to Coppell! So much success from them this season. My brother and I joked about how Keller has been fighting tooth and nail to be the top non-LISD DFW band every year and then Coppell comes and steals the thunder lol. Can't wait to see what they do in the future.

Ugh I have to come in here and talk some more about Nixa! What an incredible program. Those students have such an outstanding level of character and good sportsmanship. The obstacles they have overcome to be here at GN and represent the state of Missouri are incredible and they deserve to be so insanely proud of what they just put out on the field! They also have some of the lowest trip fees in competitive marching band. The organization truly cares about each and every student. I cannot wait to see where this program goes!
