I’ve always thought it was strange when bands kept their show secret. My band director always told us that it was in case they made any changes to the show, they didn’t want to make false impressions. Eh, my junior year our show name and description completely changed mid-season. We all had show shirts and everything that were totally irrelevant Yeah, my senior year we didn’t find out the name of our show until our first performance.

I think the students deserve to know what the heck they are learning drill and music to before they start working on it. OTH that could be smart because students are likely to be a little more committed overall to making the show good if they don't know what the theme is because I know from experience that some students tend to bail on a season because they think the show design isn't very good. Unless of course y'all didn't learn the theme of the show because the directors honestly hadn't pinned it down yet. That would make it okay.

This was because the directors just didn’t have it pinpointed yet. So the way we found out was when announcer introduced the band and the show.

Lakota West HS (West Chester Twp, OH) "Eccentricity"
Goodpasture Christian School (Madison, TN) "Convicted"
Stewart County HS (Dover, TN) "Avail"
Centerville HS (Centerville, OH)
"Rhapsodic"
Rhapsody, n: a musical composition of irregular form having
an improvisatory character.
The straightforward meaning of the adjective rhapsodic is "like a
rhapsody," but in usage it borrows chiefly from a figurative use of
rhapsody, "effusively rapturous or emotional expression." You might
come across the phrase "to wax rhapsodic," which is pretty much the
same thing as "to gush." People who are in love, for example, tend to
wax rhapsodic about the objects of their affection.

Please tell me that the announcer has to say this whole thing If only it were so! Centerville likes to post something about the show theme to help their fans understand what is coming. You'll notice that none of the musical selections are included in the reveal - that will come later (probably the first time they perform in front of judges, usually at the Northmont Premier on Labor Day weekend).

Alan C. Pope H.S., GA — “9 3/4” Harry Potter? There is certainly enough non Williams music to pull from but pretty much the most recognizable ones are his themes and good luck trying to get those rights.

Notable is their intended use of at least one cat, dog, and Alpaca? on the field.
