I wonder who will win lol. Collinsville sweep Nah it'll definitely be Mascoutah Unironically though I am excited to see how Lindbergh and Edwardsville do since both are going to STL and both have the potential to get pretty close to finals judging off their last season

This will be a Lincoln-Way sweep, probably by 5-6(ish) points. In the past, this is a 4 judge show (MPE, VPE, VGE, MGE), so I'm interested to see if that's changed.

I'll be there, curious to see how close the gap will be between Lincoln-Way and Belleville East/Edwardsville.

My opinion: Edwardsville are a Top 8 band in Illinois, beating Lincoln-Way in visual is huge. It's not my cup of tea theme wise, but it's very well done. Top 20 at St. Louis is not out of the question.
O'Fallon > Lincoln-Way [at least for right now]. O'Fallon are huge numbers wise, and their show is very clean for September. Lincoln-Way will be fine, and their show has a higher demand/effect ceiling.

Edwardsville being so close to Lincoln-Way doesn't surprise me. They have an incredibly talented designer who was also one of the contributing factors in Choctaw's breakthrough at Indianapolis SR last year. I see only good things in their future. I am surprised to see Lindbergh trailing them fairly close, but I suppose that with only so many bands at a local contest scores have to all be somewhat near one another (and it's early early EARLY season).
Nice job Monticello! We'll see them at St. Louis. Sullivan and Hollister provide tough competition on the A level, but once again it's only September. I'm excited to see where the show goes.

Who is the designer? I would like to know as well. Also I have to believe they have more than just one very talented designer, unless this designer does all the music arranging, visual design, sound design, choreography, program coordinating, etc.

Zachary Barber is the program coordinator and visual designer. Oh he did our show last year and we did better than we had in almost 15 years. New director, new designer made a big difference. This year we have yet another new director *sigh* and a different designer.

Thank you dbalash ! The semester is now in full swing and I have less forum refreshing time. Zachary Barber is the right answer. He’s done some really incredible things with Edwardsville and plenty of other bands! He’s also a designer for Ionic, so I had the chance to learn from him during my time in M2. I imagine he’ll be making quite the name for himself and his bands within the next decade.
