Off season is killing me! I miss so much about marching band, but one of the big things I am longing for are those incredible impact moments that just give you chills. Post your favorite impact moments so I can survive until the fall!

One of my favorites that I can think of right now is North Shore HS 2018. That first impact remains as one of my top favorites to this day. Gave me chills all over my body when I saw this show live.

Hebron 2021 YES.
I am in love with all of Wando 2014, however that ballad impact hit is just heaven. I have looped that ballad at least 150 times.

Clear choice for me is Hebron 2021, at least for the ones I’ve heard live, will have to look through more shows to get my other few favorites that I have!

Broken Arrow 2012 opening hit. That sent shockwaves through me with each viewing in Lucas Oil.

Wando 2014 is amazing but I loop their ending hit on "The Abyss." I don't know, I think I'm just a sucker for that hit after Crown did it in their ballad the year prior.

Seems like a deeper cut, but Vandegrift 2016’s opening statement is MONEY.

Flower Mound always nails the opening impact for me, but I don’t think they’ve done it better than they did in 2015 for Surreal. It sent chills down my spine hearing it in person.

Kennesaw Mountain 2004 is a fun show, but midway through the closer starting at 9:35 till the end is powerful !

DB 2016 closer (Elsa’s procession) Hebron 2017 ballad impact Vista Murrieta 2016 closer

BA 2012 opening hit is the most jarring impact I have ever heard at the HS level.

Avon 2012 beginning. Lawrence Central 2009 ending when the props spell out Renewal. Lawrence Central 2010 (btw my third favorite show) during the accordion part and with guard with the gold flag spinning their flags in the two blocks as they collide.
Just Chills.

Well so many from the past decade, I am going to go much more old school.
1984 - Rocky Mount in the closing section push when they were playing Rocky Point Holiday.
1988 - The ending of George Rogers Clark's Phantom of the Opera.
1989 - Marian Catholic's ballad Pie Jesu.
1993 - The section of Lake Park's Fiesta Roma show when a vocalist sings in Italian Opera and hits the high point of Nessun Dorma. I was against singing in marching band until that moment.
1993 - Springs ballad, especially the flute solo.
1994 - Westerville Souths last section of their show when they were showcasing the aftermath of the Dresdin bombing.
1995 - Marian Catholics closing section of their Scenes from the Paris Ballet show.
1999 - The closing few minutes of Plymouth Cantons Thought Crime when the guard were sent through the meat grinder prop and clones were spit out.

Cedar Ridge's Rebel Yell hit from this past year is one of the few impacts in the marching arts that got a physical reaction out of me every single time I heard it in person.
