Don’t remind me that there’s still another season of this Not if we have another meltdown during Grand National Finals! Box5 I swear if you mess up finals again this year a reckoning will come. I’m sending a note to MFA this week reminding them of BOX5 and GN’s. It’s never too early to start the process of putting them on notice.

Okay that Bassoon soloist is incredible, and I know they are dancers but man this gaurd is captivating, gives me Phantom/ SCV vibes and the flags havent even come out yet…

Can Vandy win their first BOA San Antonio gold medal this weekend? I understand why they won state this week, but I still think it's a jump ball.

Nothing shy about that run from Leander! Nice job. The soloist back and forth between sousaphone / trombone is a beast.

The sousa/trombone soloist for Leander was outstanding! Reminded me a lot of Lincoln's 2017 Sousaphone/Trombone/Trumpet soloist!

My inner child is a nerdy little high school sousaphone and he's hooting and hollering after that Leander show!! WOW!!!!!
It would be criminal to not see that again tomorrow night. Really well-paced throughout, and what a showstopping stunt to pull out at the eleventh hour!! What a joy to watch; definitely a highlight of the season for me. Go Leander!!!!

What's wild to me is the INSANE amount of park and bark in this Lake Travis show - especially from the performers in all white...I swear they haven't moved once

Lake Travis!!! The alive performers very much made up for the laziness of the cardboard ones! That was fun

I haven't seen Lake Travis in anyone's predictions... is there a reason why??? I thought it was the very best show they've EVER done!!! The drill fit perfectly with the music book. So dark, so intriguing, so exciting! I just wish the guard was featured at some point, rather than existing in the interstitial spaces between the band and the props. In any case, everything about their performance and design screams "I'm a worthy finalist!!" I would LOVE to see them again.

I unfortunately had to miss Westwood. How dare people schedule meetings on a Friday in November. Don't they know there's marching band to watch? dbalash scheduled his WEDDING on a Saturday in November! I schedule my vacations every year in November too.

Cool to see "Dawn of Life" being played by Bridgeland, after hearing it recently with Rosemount last week. Both performed it beautifully but it's fun to notice the contrast in the style both bands performed it. Rosemount played it as their ballad and it was taken at a slow deliberate pace, while Bridgeland played it as their opener and it felt quick and vibrant. Both these styles led to their powerful ballad and opener hits respectively.
Anyways, Bridgeland was VERY good and I do think we'll be seeing them again tomorrow night!

Bridgeland was really, really strong. Great job! Could definitely see that in finals Agreed! This is one of those contests where you add up all the bands you think should be in Finals and you end up with 25 bands. I don't envy the judges on this one!

Stephen F. Austins individual marching technique is extremely clean and readable across the board.

So I was listening to CTJ audio only (okay yes I was driving), and thought they sounded great! But obviously didn’t see any visuals.
I really like the show compared to past recent CTJ shows. I like that they didn’t throw every piece and genre of music at this show like some others I can name of theirs… love the look and the vibe.
I think they’re solidly in finals for both SA and GN.
