Unless Lake Hamilton has figured out A LOT OF STUFF since the BMI show, they are going to have a hard time-making finals, let alone succeeding. I think there's a lot of value in this thread based on past success without much research into how the group actually is this year.
Hope they figure it out either way, but lorrrrrdy they were really trying the time I got to see them.

Unless you’re really adamant about tracking down where they performed, yeah, past precedent is going to be most peoples’ gauge as to how they might do. But that said, good to know that our predictions about them might look very different come Saturday evening! |

I think an okay BOA regional is harder to succeed at than BMI, albeit a HARD local show and hard one for the area---still a local show. I think we can dive a little deeper here using other local shows from this last weekend. Blue Springs South (BMI champion) had a strong showing at the Union contest beating Choctaw (2023 Indy SR finalist), and a close gap to Southmoore and Bixby. Grain Valley (2nd place finish at BMI) finished incredibly close to Bellevue West at the Mizzou contest. I think we are seeing the results of other bands getting significantly better from one year to the next! Lake Hamilton is likely still quite strong! |

Just heard a clip from the JFB show.
After hearing that and seeing what Lafayette, DB and Lakota are doing this year it makes me very excited for this finals. I think JFB has a bigger shot at 1st than a lot of people on this thread are giving them. It’s going to be a VERY fun battle for that Top 3.

Setting some expectations here…the JFB part 4 is brand new and actually short. I almost wish they’d end on the Buffalo Springfield part 3 tbh. Director Moss will not be in attendance as he is in a wedding (last minute enrolment amiright). This will be a more unrehearsed showing, so I think top 3 is a win at JC. This is a weird season though. Who actually really knows what will happen…

I will say, as someone who has been watching South Forsyth for the last few years, I will be shocked if they don’t place in finals or really close. They have alot of potential Speaking from my NC perspective I suspect no NC bands will final but it will be Enloe or (despite last week's bizarro Conway scores) more likely Green Hope if one does. |

They have alot of potential With their last band director, I think 100% they would be in the top half of finals, but after their band director and a few staff changes back in 2022 it's just not the same, but I do think they do have to potential to make finals, they were 3.95 points from Lambert at the BOA affiliate Cass Show, so I could see them in the 7th - 15th range |
