Just bought a prelims pass. Let’s see some band!

Friend’s daughter is in her last year at Avon (we’re all former AMB&G members) We’re gonna have ourselves a big pot luck and watch finals in a garage playing darts. Past four years have been fun doing that. She’s like the first kid any of my friends had so it’s crazy to think she’s already graduating - then again so’s my kid. Crazy!!!!

I can't imagine call times (for anyone- band, props, uniforms, etc.) for a 7 AM show. We're rooting for ALL of you!! Regardless of class or size or expected results, it's a hell of an accomplishment to make it through this long of a season and get to play at Lucas Oil in the middle of November. Congratulations to all the students, directors, staff, volunteers, parents, and anyone else supporting these programs. It's a herculean effort and you're at the finish line!

Obviously a bit biased, so rooting hard for #teamSC schools Catawba Ridge - if you haven't seen them, make it a point for tomorrow morning, it's a really interesting (and well done!) show - and Clover. And while we're not in Indiana, we will be rooting for Brownsburg since those kids and that program were such gracious hosts for us at Super Regionals last month.

Call time was 6:45am! I'm never up before sunrise as I'm a late night person! But this is my Christmas!! Making sure every student knows as they're passing by the band exit, gets a fist bump or high five! Seeing the smiling faces (mostly, lol) makes my heart melt!! This is my 29th consecutive BOA Grand Nationals. I'm loving the performances and interactions so far! Let's Rock!!!

Agree on Catawba Ridge! They have something that should show quite nicely at grand nats. They showed some great year-over-year progress at Conway but you could also see that their ceiling was still quite higher. Hope to see them break through this year!
