They are definitely making an argument they should be in the finals lineup. Just need to tighten up some timing and they have a solid shot at making it. I actually really love this show

O'Fallon Township just made a very convincing argument on why they should get 3 performances. Fantastic job from them! The difference between the performance here and St. Louis is night & day.

Purely in terms of personal enjoyment, I still think more fondly about their quirky Wednesday showing from last year. However, this version of O'Fallon is undeniably strong and performing as well (if not better) than they ever have. Performance quality is a step above their late 2010s showings at GN, for sure. Some visual dirt but music may carry them into finals.

Is Box5’s broadcast wonky or did O’Fallon sound off at times, off key and off tempo? Their show is amazing! It definitely felt uncomfortable. Visually and musically, quite a lot of dirt. Hopefully it was just run specific and in Semis they knock it out of the park. Hard to tell what was the run and what was the reality. Great band. |

That was an absolutely wonderful performance, O'Fallon! Does it make Finals? Who knows, we have so many groups to go, but they sure made the case that they are to be taken as a serious threat for Finals this weekend. I really enjoyed that performance. I loved their 2022 show, but this feels like their most thoroughly-planned package they've brought to GN since they made Finals in 2018. A couple nerves & timing ticks in the closer, but Prelims is the spot to work those out.
I have got to comment on their sound. They've always been a symphonic group, but they sounded almost Wando-esque today - rich & blended as opposed to loud & brassy. I honestly was not expecting such a gorgeous & musical performance. Tons of nuance. Then they let loose at the appropriate points in the closer, showing just enough teeth. I've always enjoyed you, O'Fallon, but this is a special group this year that was matched with a well-designed show! The visual, the GE, especially the music - hard to see any weaknesses. This group is really clicking this year!

Kind of loving that they recognized the original Piano Concerto No 2 melody, but I don't think I've ever heard repertoire described like this in combination!

No no this isn’t meant as a dig, like have they ever actually tried to give insightful feedback on the actual performance before? Cause I don’t recall it if they have. I haven’t seen it before and it was actually good imo and so I was very pleasantly surprised |

O'Fallon looked and sounded really good, I thoroughly enjoyed that show. I'd never seen them before but folks around here have talked them up, and I wasn't disappointed. Well done O'Fallon!

Why is it only ever during Nats that Box5 has issues? Increased server stress, I guess...disappointing.
