Y’all been reading Lame Dad Jokes again I see 😜 "Lame" dad jokes? That...doesn't make sense. Seems like the definition of an oxymoron.

Why was six afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine. I think you’re all hopeless. 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, I think we all just need band competition to start already so we can have more interesting things to argue about. Absolutely

The question is how many of the 3 events will actually take place. Looking like it could be just 1 What makes you say that? Weather forecast for Powder Springs is not looking particularly promising. McAllen also looked iffy earlier but at least that forecast is improving (from a storms point of view - it will be very hot).

McAllen also looked iffy earlier but at least that forecast is improving (from a storms point of view - it will be very hot). Hopefully nothing gets cancelled. With Powder Springs, the numbers have been fluctuating all week and have stayed at a range of 20-50% chance of rain (Scattered Thunderstorms), but as the hours of the day go on it seems that there will be less of a chance at night (finals).

From my experience so far this summer, the rains occur very quickly and disappear as such, but tends pour a lot in one go. It might be possible to put on the event while delaying as needed for rain.
Furthermore, the forecast is based on the area covered. Therefore, it is totally possible to experience rain in one spot while another 10 miles away remains dry. Powder Springs might get lucky and only get a few of those thunderstorms. We'll definitely keep an eye on the forecast until then.

If anything I hope they post pone finals by about 1-2 hours if it rains. It’s the first competition of the season and it would be a shame for it to get canceled;(

BOA will shuffle around lunch and breaks as needed to get everyone the opportunity to perform. I don't think this will be too much of an issue based on the small pool of bands for this regional. If the forecast in the evening proves to be difficult, BOA will just cancel outright.

We all sat in our cars in the parking lot for nearly two hours waiting on it to pass. It did and Leander was able to compete. The break between prelims and finals was shortened considerably but they made it work. Edit: it wasn’t 2016. Maybe 2018? Regardless, it definitely happened! 🤣

I remember BOA in Denton Texas 2012, it rained (no thunder, just rain and drizzle) almost the whole contest and the bands competed in the rain. That was not the funnest contest to Chaperone but it was memorable!
