Found it: 8:40 mark...but the whole show is just so awesome. Even the dancers, which I don’t normally get excited about!

Avon H.S., IN - "unBAROQUEN"
Homestead H.S., IN - "The Reclamation Project" ------------------------------------------------------------- I'd rather see Avon as unBAROQUEEN, with a Bach/Queen mashup. Brandenburg Rhapsody, and all that. Any word on Music for Homestead? Are they using sourced music or sticking with original music? ____________________________________________________ Yes. Homestead's music selection this year is: "A Brussels Requiem" by Bert Appermont

Yes. Homestead's music selection this year is: "A Brussels Requiem" by Bert Appermont ---------------------------------------------------- Thanks. I happened to catch an early run thru from Homestead but didn't recognize the music. They had a good 8 minutes on the field, but no props when I saw it and the theme was not yet apparent. The seemed maybe a little smaller in the brass/winds? Hard to tell.

O'Fallon Township: "Architecture in Motion" The words “O’Fallon”, “Architecture” and “Motion” scare me just a bit. 😅😅 I took your joke to mean something like: this year the full-field tarp will be six feet off the ground.

How do we know those shows are real? I'm not convinced. You know marching band has gotten too serious when people go to the trouble of disseminating misinformation. What's next, Russian interference?

Duncan U. Fletcher H.S., FL — “Queen of the Night” [...] Dark Horse — Katy Perry [...] That song already had *seven* credited writers, and then three more brought a lawsuit in 2014 claiming copyright infringement, which they won this summer.

What an interesting combination. <scratching my head> I love it when you have no idea what the director is planning! It's a combination that has actually been done before. In 2014, The Colts show was entitled, "Dark Side of the Rainbow." The show was about what happened to Oz after Dorothy left and The Scarecrow was put in charge, and most of the show featured music from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Rainbow album, as well as Radiohead and Raymond Scott. It was a fan favorite show that summer, and was only a tenth out of finals behind Crossmen. And it was recently picked as the best Colts show of the 2010s in a little survey of drum corps fans.
BUT this show choice gives me pause. I thought it took all season for Colts' production --whose concept was immediately clear-- to finally work, and until that point, it was one of the most annoying shows ever, being heavily dependent on narration. For much of the summer, audience reaction was very divided. So I hope Beavercreek is relying instead on the long-discussed synchronicity to which Dan Balash linked and not seriously trying to tell a story.
