I have seen this done in the past, so I wanted to bring it back and see what everyone's thoughts were! We are starting to get into the thick of the season now, so it would be interesting to see where people think various groups stand based on state.

It’s back!!
Missouri Rankings 10/2
1. Blue Springs (Kansas City) ———————————— 2. Grain Valley (Kansas City) 3. Camdenton (Lake of the Ozarks) 4. Blue Springs South (Kansas City) 5. Nixa (Springfield) 6. Kickapoo (Springfield) 7. Rockwood Summit (St. Louis) 8. Oakville (St. Louis) 9. Fort Zumwalt North (St. Louis) 10. Rock Bridge (Columbia) ———————————— 11. Hickman (Columbia) 12. Hollister (Springfield) 13. Lindbergh (St. Louis) 14. Sullivan (St. Louis) 15. Lee’s Summit (Kansas City)
Included regions for a better look at the general distribution of bands across the state. Without looking at my rankings from last year, I believe this is the first time on the list for Oakville, Hickman, Lindbergh, and Lee’s Summit.

These are my top 10 rankings for Washington and Oregon, only including bands that have performed and have been scored.
Oregon 1. Grants Pass 2. Century 3. Roseburg 4. Glencoe 5. North Salem 6. Westview 7. Aloha 8. McKay 9. McMinnville 10. South Albany
Washington 1. Ridgeline 2. A.C. Davis 3. Cheney 4. Mead 5. North Thurston 6. Chiawana 7. Tahoma 8. Pasco 9. Hanford 10. West Valley
West Salem, Mountainside, and Sherwood, and many other schools have been omitted from this list because they haven't debuted their performances yet. Kamiak performed and hosted their own competition yesterday, but because they were exhibition, their scores were not released. If anyone's wondering, I would put them at No. 1 spot for Washington.

Nixa (Springfield) 6. Kickapoo (Springfield) I almost totally agree with your list - I could see a case for swapping 3 & 4 at this point. I'm assuming "————————————" denotes a gap in scores and if so I think there's a case for:
1. Blue Springs (Kansas City) ———————————— 2. Grain Valley (Kansas City) ———————————— 3. Camdenton (Lake of the Ozarks) ...
and with the achievement so far this year could be trending toward:
1. Blue Springs (Kansas City) 2. Grain Valley (Kansas City)
———————————— 3. Camdenton (Lake of the Ozarks) ...

3 and 4, as well as 5 and 6, are very close, and will probably fluctuate throughout the season. I believe that Camdenton’s ceiling is higher than Blue Springs South’s, and last year’s St. Louis results were far too close to give them a definitive lead. Kickapoo beat Nixa last week, but in the same vein they’re too close, and Nixa’s two captions from the last time they faced each other give them an edge in my rankings for this week. I’m hesitant to put a line between Grain Valley and Camdenton at this point in the season, but I’m open to it depending on the Indy SR results. However, I would rather group them together than group the former with Blue Springs. Grain Valley and Camdenton are both too inconsistent to be in a level tier with a consistent GN finalist. Right now, I think Blue Springs is the only band deserving of their own tier - the other cutoff is just for top 10.

Austin area/Central Texas rankings cause there's too many in this state. For clarification I consider districts like Hays CISD and San Marcos CISD as part of the Austin area, but New Braunfels ISD and Comal ISD as part of the San Antonio area. I'm also throwing in the Temple and Waco area bands here too because they don't fit anywhere else. While a lot of the rankings line up closely with results, I do have opinions that may differ from head to heads.
1. Cedar Ridge 2. Vandegrift 3. Cedar Park ------------------------- 4. Vista Ridge 5. Round Rock ------------------------- 6. Rouse 7. Westlake 8. James Bowie ------------------------- 9. Leander 10. Westwood 11. Hendrickson 12. Moe and Gene Johnson 13. Lake Travis ------------------------- 14. Dripping Springs 15. McNeil 16. Tom Glenn ------------------------- 17. Lake Belton 18. McCallum 19. Jack C. Hays 20. Liberty Hill 21. Weiss 22. Midway ------------------------- 23. Belton 24. Anderson 25. Harker Heights ------------------------- Next 5: Austin, Bastrop, Lehman, Georgetown, Pflugerville

I have not seen Novi yet this year and MCBA has still not posted the scores from Saturday. Last year they were 5th in Flight 1, behind Rockford, PCEP, Lake Orion and Walled Lake. Jenison in Flight 2, was of course still a state power, so Novi was probably ranked in the 6 to 8th place, somewhat on par with Reeths-Puffer and DeWitt.

Oklahoma Rankings (as of 10/3):
1. BA 2. Mustang 3. Bixby 4. Owasso 5. Edmond Santa Fe 6. Jenks 7. Southmoore 8. Deer Creek 9. Edmond Memorial 10. Edmond North 11. Yukon 12. Westmoore 13. Union 14. Piedmont 15. Collinsville 16. Choctaw 17. Stillwater 18. Coweta 19. Tahlequah 20. Carl Albert
8-12 is a toss up right now, and I could see any of these bands placing 8th at OBA at the end of the year. I have my eye on Yukon, Deer Creek, and Southmoore this year. Those three, as well as Edmond North, Edmond Memorial, Westmoore, and Choctaw have crazy potential this year.
As for the top 6, BA is going to remain the uncontested #1, and I am 80% sure Mustang will stay in second, but third through sixth will be a big fight between Owasso, Bixby, Jenks, and Edmond Santa Fe. I would put my money on Edmond Santa Fe getting 6th at OBA, but they could definitely jump into 5th. Jenks is 6th for me right now, but I know they will come from behind and compete with Owasso and Bixby. We will see who is on top of that 3rd-6th group after Owasso and Bixby go head to head at Renegade Review this weekend. I saw Bixby in person at their exhibition performance on Saturday, and I was very impressed by their power and cleanliness, which is why I have them ahead of Owasso right now, but I think Owasso will end up taking first this weekend.
I hope Union is able to make a recovery. They placed below Coweta at the Mustang Invitational, which would put them in 18th on this list, but I want to believe it was just a bad run. The recaps aren't out, so I can't say for sure if they did better in prelims. Their design this year is very Union, and it has a lot of potential, but I don't know that we can expect the Union we knew a few years ago. At least not this year.

Since you have to agree that this is completely subjective... these bands do not even compete in the same circuits often... being in the same state is sometimes the only commonality... i would say for TN.....
1 Dobyns Bennett (Kingsport) 2 Franklin (Nashville Area) 3 Munford (Munford is North East of Memphis) 4 Bartlett (Memphis Area) 5 Arlington (Memphis Area) 6 Siegel (Murfreesboro) 7 Columbia Central (Columbia) 8 Mt Juliet (Nashville Area) 9 McGavock (Nashville) 10 Bearden (Knoxville)

Another band that seems to be getting better every year is Elizabethton’s Betsy Band. They had a really neat show and finished well last year at WCU.

They'll be at the ISSMA invitational at Jasper, IN this coming weekend.

After seeing Ravenwood live at Clarksville and at Franklin's own competition this past weekend, I'm very inclined to say they are at a strong 3rd right now. I'm not sure if there were any staff changes or inside things that happened, but they are on FIRE this year. If I remember correctly, they're going to GN this year, and I have high high hopes for them:) Mt. Juliet is also doing great! They just came out of a fantastic winter guard season and are carrying that momentum forward! I have them above Siegel right now.

Correct on why I had some bands lower than what one might expect for some groups. Lack of good competitive data makes it tricky or if they don't compete against anyone at a contest really. Penn was especially tricky because they were close to Goshen at Concord but I haven't seen them and they haven't competed since. Even though their schedule says they were supposed to go to several shows this year, they haven't for some reason. Which if anyone knows why they haven't really been following their posted calendar schedule, that'd be great to know.
When it came to putting Class B groups in, well, the Avon Invitational results really show just how much of a cluster it is right now lol! Really going to be interesting who pulls away in that class this year.
