Finals Cutoff: 12. Wakefield H.S., MA 74.45 ---------------------------- 13. Elizabeth H.S., NJ 74.00 Also Dartmouth scored an 88.35 in prelims. I'm also curious what the two penalties in finals were for.

For New Jersey: - Bridgewater-Raritan earning their 14th BOA Finalist Appearance which is the highest among any NJ band
- Westfield and John P. Stevens now tie with the second most finalist appearance with 6 appearance.
- West Orange achieving their highest placement/score ever. (4th/80.250)
- Verona being 2023 Class 1A BOA Piscataway Regional Champions
- Elizabeth has a record for the most NJ band with the unlucky number: 3 - (2014, 2018, 2023) which sadly broke their 2-year streak on making BOA finals which was their record.
- Brick Memorial earning their lowest placement ever.

Dartmouth wiped the floor here. I’m not surprised considering the sound and quality of sound they produce. Some intense drill too they’re really moving at times

Really enjoyed getting to see Dartmouth live twice yesterday. They're absolutely my top choice to win 2A at GN now.

I discovered something new today: Eddie Otto, the director of Unionville High School, is the son of Eddie Otto ... the director of Downingtown West High School. What a great moment this past weekend must have been for their family.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that it was great to meet and have conversations with both Allohak and hewhowaits at the show! Thank you so very much to both of you for all of your hospitality and kindness! Truly great ambassadors for BOA!

What a great moment this past weekend must have been for their family. Wow. They need to combine band programs so that their director can be Eddie Otto, and their assistant director can be Eddie Otto.

What a great moment this past weekend must have been for their family. Mr. Otto, Sr. was talking to me in the flow and mentioned this. He said Mr. Otto, Jr. was more positive about Downingtown West's prelims performance from up top than his take at field level. When Unionville was about to take the field for finals, I asked Mr. Otto, Sr. if he was going out on the field to watch. His response - "it makes my son nervous if I do that." He ended up going part way out and keeping out of Mr. Otto, Jr.'s line of sight.

We have Dartmouth props for the night show! Way to make it happen, parents! That was a harrowing afternoon, big credit to the parents who were in the truck and were able to deal with everything and still got the rental to Rutgers in time for finals, and everyone who stepped up to help get everything assembled quickly. As a Dartmouth parent, it was tough to know the students were headed out for prelims already late due to a rollover accident that had miles of Rt 95 at a standstill, and then they had to do it with no props. Also, a giant thank you to the band that let us borrow their podium (apologies as I don't know who it was) as ours was also on the broken down prop truck. Nothing like driving past a completely stopped lane of traffic on the GW and seeing your rented truck just sitting there with a giant lane of po'd drivers sitting behind it...

I was able to watch both of Dartmouth's performances from the stands on Saturday. Prelims was my first time seeing the band live and I was hugely impressed with how well the band performed. The lack of the props was not immediately apparent to me, maybe because of how well the ensemble was performing, but did become more obvious as the show went on. But the addition of the props in finals made the show even better! Congrats on the win and good luck at Nationals!
