Lots of likely finalists will have plenty of time to go off-site and rehearse if they so choose.

I don't think I realized how tough this show is until seeing the actual schedule. Gonna be a good one!

Whitewater H.S., GA does not appear on the schedule. And is no longer listed on the participating bands page as of yesterday.

Honest early prediction:
1. Dobyns-Bennett H.S., TN 2. Lakota East H.S., OH 3. Harrison H.S., GA 4. James F. Byrnes H.S., SC 5. Nation Ford H.S., SC 6. Cass H.S., GA 7. Franklin H.S., TN 8. Sparkman H.S., AL 9. Walton H.S., GA 10. Sparkman H.S., AL 11. Evansville North H.S., IN 12. Lassiter H.S., GA
A: Estill County H.S., KY AA: Cass H.S., GA AAA: Dobyns-Bennett H.S., TN AAAA: James F. Byrnes H.S., SC
Although JFB is not severely behind like they were last year (and I realize many bands will not have their full show on the field in time for this regional), I'm still concerned at their lack of field rehearsal time between now and 10/5 (or even the following week in Conway) - I hope I'm wrong, but that's just me being honest. Truthfully, NaFo could easily be 4th and JFB 5th. I also expect Lassiter to make finals.
With the BOA and competition dates/choices Moss made, it's very likely the full JFB show won't be seen until state in November.

North also won this regional last year… won’t happen again this year, but I think 11th is a little low.

North also won this regional last year… won’t happen again this year, but I think 11th is a little low. Yeah - I meant to replace Whitewater with Boiling Springs and have Evansville in 8th (Keeping Sparkman at 10th). I have not seen Evansville tbh, which affects my judgement in placement. This regional also didn't have DB, JFB, NaFo, Harrison or LE last year (or even Walton for that matter). The winning score of 77.6 last year (going from a 71.65 to a 77.6 is bonkers btw) will likely need to be at least 78-80 to mix with that top 5. And to be completely honest, even though I have LE in 2nd, the next 4 behind DB are a toss-up at this point. I think the scores separating 2-5 will be tight (all in the 78-79 range possibly - but it's just guessing regardless). Corrected: 1. Dobyns-Bennett H.S., TN 2. Lakota East H.S., OH 3. Harrison H.S., GA 4. James F. Byrnes H.S., SC 5. Nation Ford H.S., SC 6. Cass H.S., GA 7. Franklin H.S., TN 8. Evansville North H.S., IN 9. Walton H.S., GA 10. Sparkman H.S., AL 11. Boiling Springs H.S., SC 12. Lassiter H.S., GA

Boiling Springs H.S., SC 12. Lassiter H.S., GA It's a good list, but I think this regional will come down to who is more impactful earlier in the season - which I think will benefit the SC contingent more as they seem to play with more power. I think Walton visually could sneak them into the top 6, and Franklin musically. Lakota East has a good record, but I don't think a medal position is guaranteed. Depending on what Wes show Boiling Springs has, they could also make a run at the top 6 - but with this field I think it is unlikely given they start quite dirty.

Early preview for Lakota East - some good sound and interesting blocking for this part of the season - look forward to seeing this in full production - got to love the local cable channels that broadcast halftime. It's unfortunate Mason didn't travel for this away game. The high schools sit just about 6 miles apart - look forward to seeing these programs continue to uplevel and give those Indy bands a run. youtube.com/clip/UgkxZoVL5mRmg6LgdSR1TNp40Bb2OX54vqq8?si=H4DwlLD-sGni0jtg

Great rifle line as well, I’m excited to see the finished project. Also to any Leander fans out there, it looks like they have rearranged the second movement of Leander’s 2015 show and they play it beautifully! Definitely worth the watch, keep an eye out for them at Chattanooga in a few weeks

I'm excited to see this in BOA form. JFB keeps any footage on lockdown (even footage the parents take is forbidden to be uploaded anywhere). I get it - but I do love seeing other band shows in the works.

Will continue to do some digging - but found Dobyns Bennett this morning - their opponent brought their band as well and performs before them (West Ridge HS) - BOA will love their size and it's a fun show will plenty of recognizable songs. BoA really needs to figure out how to tap into the trending moments of social media and get the non-band folk invested - DCI should also be capitalizing on this - reality show, viral moments, something. www.youtube.com/live/IXWw-odpJPg?si=Iiicm41zsEQS80vj&t=8474 - this should be at the start of DB if not - they start at 2:22:30 ish.

Well still fun to enjoy

Totally not a JFB sneak peek…can’t wait to see this with cleaned up music and full costumes, props, visuals etc.
Might delete this in a few days tbh…
I only ask that we please keep this in the forum family and not on other social media. I’m sharing here as a thank you for the awesome community and amazing knowledge of this activity.

Decatur moves from AA to AAA. Lassiter moves from AAAA to AAA (probably a guesstimation). Russell County moves from AA back to A.

Do you have anyone competing in one of the bands? Or are you just curious to possibly attend the regional? Personally, I have a marcher competing so the 5–6 hour drive for me is a no brainer. BUT...this regional does feature some big hitters competing very early in the season (I'm not sure how many will even have completed shows on the field). You could always watch the Box5 broadcast as well (for $ of course).

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the trek by myself. Will I have the opportunity to see these same bands again at the Indy super regional?
