What a tight, locked-in run, Homestead! you absolutely nailed it this morning. Whether that gets a third performance or not, who knows, but I hope every member is beyond proud of their season. As a native Hoosier, the band world just feels better knowing that Homestead is thriving and back to being competitive for Finals! I was so drawn in the entire show, that's the old Homestead magic that I missed. Incredibly tight performance to lay down the Finalist gauntlet for the bands that follow!

Bridgeland is light years better than their Prelims run. No way this gets left out of the night show. Maybe they just needed to get the first run jitters out!

Bridgeland absolutely making their case for finals and it’s a hard one to argue against

Bridgeland with a good loud Texas sound and some colorful props! Great job! Gonna be interesting to see if that one makes tonight

Will it land them in finals? I have no idea. BUT I've really enjoyed their show all season & that's a performance to feel good about!
I'm also SO sorry they caught that denied high 5 close up in 4k 😭

Bridgeland is very clean but the show just doesn’t rise to finals level IMO. Crowded and amazing semis lineup this year means you got to be in the low 90s to make tonight.

Both Homestead & Bridgeland left it all on the field, you could tell on both groups' faces immediately after each show ended! To me, that was the run Bridgeland needed, and I don't think there will be any doubt that they land in the top 12.

Lovely show. Almost certain we don’t see it a third time though.

Agreed to a certain extent, and the lower bubble is always a toss up but I think Bridgeland has a good shot to make it with that performance! They really showed up and showed out.

Hot take - you have to be Carmel-level clean to run a show that safe and make it to the finals.

Great soloists from both Homestead and Bridgeland. Noted above high five left hanging for Bridgeland on the multi cam not to be forgotten. French horn for Homestead was terrific. .

I feel like we last saw O'Fallon 10 years ago. Early parts of Thursday Prelims have faded from my memory! But I can't wait to get another read on this. The door is wide open, so give it your best performance, O'Fallon!

The camera angles they have going on during O’Fallon’s pre-show / opening are peak!

So awesome to see Catawba Ridge doing well here! I feel like they could possibly land in the 17-20 range and this is only their second GN!

This is such a DENSE wind book from O'Fallon! I don't mean that they're playing nonstop, but almost all musical moments seem to have a million weaving lines going on at once. Tons of shaping throughout as well!!

Hot take - you have to be Carmel-level clean to run a show that safe and make it to the finals. lol “safe.” That is the one thing Bridgeland’s show is not. Maybe in the modern era of choreography and park n bark heavy shows, thinking has become warped. You think a more traditional style show focused on marching while playing, marching at very high speeds in complex and symmetric geometric forms stretching from 5 yard line to 5 yard line for 90% of the show leaving you wide open for tears is …safe? I’ll eat crow if Bridgeland doesn’t make finals tonight. They’re all my kiddos and they had a brilliant run of a technically demanding show.

O’Fallon with audio issues throughout the second half and at the end. Not going to cut it with the level of competition today.

Really nicely done O’Fallon! Really nice design with that show and it’s performed very well. I think this might be the year they make it back into finals!

Good morning Grand Nat peeps! Great to walk in hearing O'Fallon putting on a great show. Nice work!
Is there a list anywhere of what class each band today is in? Thanks and good luck to all!

O'FALLON!!!! Third band in a row that just knocked it out of the park. In terms of meat & potatoes, OFT has it in spades. There's a ton of welcome complexity in that music book. They have become such a mature group. Sky high performance levels of a dense, dense book. I feel like I am going to be repeating myself ad nauseam with every band, but I have a hard time believing that won't be in Finals tonight! Either way, I enjoyed every minute of both performances they've given so far!

Unfortunate to see those technical issues at the end of O'Fallon. Those winds were certainly on it this morning, though!

Well, that might be the first time Box5 has ever gotten a compliment! 😮 They must've had a pep talk or something bc when the top 22 started the multi-cam has been great lol ... so far. Hopefully they keep this same energy the rest of the day
