I think you switched the states for Franklin & Brownsburg. Franklin is in TN and Brownsburg is right down the road from Lucas Oil....

I'm so confused by this. Why did everyone have their knickers and a bunch about homestead having an early draw? And fans that had draw numbers over 100 are in the first block. So thoroughly confused. There are also bands listed in the alphabetical listing that are not in fact semi-finalists. Can someone explain this stuff to me, cuz I thought I thoroughly understood how the time slotting works.

Next 8 perform in the first 8 slots. Everyone thought homestead would be part of the next 8 but they’re not. And the semi finalist list on music for all is not correct. It’s last years though it has been updated

Bands in 1-8 qualified by scores but weren’t the top 11 in their panel ( but may have outscored bands in the other panel). Their order in the first 8 slots is determined by draw order. The last bands are class reps, again in draw order.

Homestead has drawn early performing times all season long. The early draw meant Homestead was very likely to go on first for the next 8 or top 22, whatever category they fell in. The draw order determines order for each section. Going from lowest to highest for earliest to latest performing slot, it's 1-113 for the 22 bands in the top 22, 1-113 for the next 8, and 1-113 for the class reps. Not 1-113 for all 35 performing slots at once.

So the top 22 scores are in the middle, then the next 8 scores are the first 8 on, all regardless of panel. Maybe when they switched to panels that went away.

According to the adjudication manual for 2024, top 11 from each panel are guaranteed the 22 spots. The next eight are in the first eight, even if they outscore someone from the other panel.

So I’m also confused. With Murray, Marion Archbishop and Bourbon among the last bands in semis that means none of them won the class, and are representatives? All the Class A bands did not finish within the top 22 or next 8. Since there would have been no Class A reps from those 30 bands, the top 2 Class A finishers from each panel were promoted.

What placements can we determine from this order? Besides who is the range of 1-22 and who is in the range of 23-30, nothing

Besides who is the range of 1-22 and who is in the range of 23-30, nothing Well that is my question. Who is in the range of 1-22 and who is in the range of 23-30. We actually don’t know this. The two middle blocks only consist of the top 11 of each panel in draw board order. From 1999 through 2022, the middle 22 spots were the top 22 scores overall from prelims, regardless of day/panel. In 2023, the rules changed such that the middle spots are panel dependent. Thus, we can’t make clean assumptions of who actually placed 1-22 or 23-30.
