Info given to event staff, which we've been asked to keep confidential, says that everyone should be patient for just a little while longer and not spread baseless speculation about what plans there may or may not be to cancel events and what the timing for such cancellations may look like. There's a lot of misinformation in recent posts in this thread. We should also keep in mind that MFA is likely to communicate directly to registered directors before posting anything publicly about whatever decisions are made.

I've heard BOA competitions will go on, but spectators will be suspended from hot air balloons above the field only. No stand seating because of social distancing.

The Rose Parade has been cancelled. Poor Hebron H.S.... I mean, their invitation will surely just be applied to another year's parade.

Considering the majority of finalist and semifinalist bands have pulled out, there really isn’t much reason for nats now anyways.

Pride of Broken Arrow Families,
After consultation with Broken Arrow school officials and our high school band directors, and with the safety of our students as our greatest concern, The Pride of Broken Arrow has made the difficult decision that we will not participate in a competitive marching band season this fall. Concerns of the growing spread of COVID-19 and the uncertainty associated with how (or if) marching competitions will be held this fall are all factors that have led us to this decision.
While the Pride won’t participate in a fall competitive season, make no doubt that the Pride will thrive and evolve its offerings to serve our students and community. We may be disappointed that there won’t be a competitive season this fall, however, the band staff and I are extremely excited to, once again, reinvent Broken Arrow marching band this fall. With opportunities to provide greater depth of the marching band experience, the Pride staff has already shared many of our ‘new ideas’ with our students.
Earlier today, the 2020 Pride of Broken Arrow met with the band directors to share our new vision with our students. This will still be an amazing year! Our fall season will look different, but in no way does it change our intent to provide incredible life experiences for our students through music!
In the coming days we will begin to share much more detail to the adjustments made to the season and share exciting new opportunities for our Pride students.
The Broken Arrow Band program measures success in gaining meaningful student experiences, the pursuit of excellence, the value of hard work, the lessons of teamwork, by empowering students to express themselves through music and the life lessons we learn through band. Competition does create an external sense of motivation, but is never the goal of the Pride or our activity. All of our goals are still very much attainable this fall, and we also look forward to advancing a new 2020 Broken Arrow Marching Band that will serve our students long after graduation and into their adult lives.
Thank you for your support and understanding. It was invigorating at our Pride member meeting today to see the determination and true character of our students shine. We are very much looking forward to this edition of the Pride of Broken Arrow!
Sincerely, Darrin Davis Director of Bands Broken Arrow Public Schools

Yeah this is probably the end. As mentioned in other threads, with ISSMA ending their season that likely ends the competitive seasons for most every Indiana group. I can't imagine that any serious Indiana program would expend time, effort, and money on a show for some random invitational or the unlikely scenario that BOA actually hold competitions. And without Indiana (after losing everyone else to date) what's left? I'm not an insider like a couple of others here, just a random misinformation guy. But certainly BOA competitions as we know them won't be happening this year.

Heavy hitters like Carmel and Avon have participated in MSBA events in the past but never in championships.

From said Champion’s band office to their students. Also leaking the news from their home circuit that isn’t supposed to be official until tomorrow. And it’s not Vandegrift.
