Reminds me of the lower ranks of the St. Louis Super Regional --- there's always 700 variations of Park Hill South, Parkway North, Parkway West, Parkway Central, Park Hill North, a myriad of Fort Zumwalt directions, smatterings of Bellevilles Bellevues & Blue Valleys all coming in shades of West East Central etc... It's always fun at shows in Illinois. There used to be 4 Lincoln-Ways (West, East, Central, North), Napervilles (Central and North), Plainfields (East, North, Central, South), Bellevilles (East and West) Champaigns (Central and Centennial) and a whole smattering of others.

In Texas most of the schools are pretty good about being named in a unique enough way that I can differentiate them. Most are named after the city or region and if there are multiple in a city they use special add on word(s) that are often distinguishable on their own, like Flower Mound Marcus, The Woodlands College Park, Keller Timber Creek, and Katy Seven Lakes. However there are a few school districts that I struggle with. Most notably in Houston there are some districts where every school starts with the same word: Cypress- Fairbanks ISD has Cy Fair, Cy Creek, Cy Falls, Cy Lakes, Cy Park, Cy Ranch, Cy Ridge, Cy Springs, and Cy Woods. Clear Creek ISD has Clear Creek, Clear Brook, Clear Falls, Clear Lake, and Clear Springs. The Klein schools confuse me a bit too. The San Antonio schools confuse me a bit too, just because all of them are named after people and not cities or regions. Examples from Northside and Northeast ISD: Brandeis, Brennan, Clark, Harlan, Holmes, Jay, Marshall, O'Connor, Stevens, Taft, Warren, Churchill, Johnson, Lee, MacArthur, Madison, Reagan, and Roosvelt.

Northside ISD schools are all named after supreme court justices, so those can be pretty easily distinguished if you paid attention in your gov and politics class. Northeast ISD is a bizarre mix of presidents, generals, random foreign politicians, and a first lady.

The first time I saw a reference in marching band forums to "Claudia Taylor Johnson" high school, I had no idea that was Lady Bird.

That may be true but it doesnt change the fact that I have trouble distinguishing one school from another. Just as I can never remember if Bellevue East or West or Bentonville or Blue Valley or any of those "directional" schools that compete at St. louis are the one that I enjoyed, I can never remember which of these schools I enjoy better (with the obvious exceptions notable).

Is this show about snakes? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hopefully they are also on a plane. They were on that Delta flight earlier this week that fell over 30,000 feet from the sky. The pilots claimed it was an air pressure issue, but we all know what REALLY happened.

It has a mixed but generally positive reputation.

Ive seen videos of both Coppell and Keller Central. I can't remember Coppell's theme, but Keller Central's has something to do with Heart and Soul.

Hello there! I haven't posted in a while, but I have some really cool things for you! Our band is set to have a stellar season and I can't wait until our contest season starts a week and a half from now. First off, I want to offer a little bit of a description of our show. We are performing a show with the title "Under Construction," which is obviously centered around construction ideas. Our show is going to be much more visually invested than it has been in years past. Our repertoire is as follows: "Primacy of Number" - Philip Glass "Hymn to the Sun with the Beat of the Mother Earth" - Yagasawa "Enter the Galaxies" - Paul Lovatt-Cooper Here is a recording of our second performance run of the show (the music and drill weren't quite as clean as the first performance because we performed more of the show and at a faster tempo, but the run was still amazing for this time of the year in our band. I hope you like it! In this next video, we have this really awesome pBone fanfare that I can't wait to hear on the field. We are still working some tuning and accuracy things because I mean - pBones. I hope you like this as well!! (Got the link from my friend by the way) http://instagram.com/p/B2ow_dXnpDB BOA San Antonio is going to be a blast this year!

We are now only less than 1 week from the first BOA Regional of 2019, and bands are continuing to announce their competitive productions.
If you find out about a group's 2019 production, and care to share, please post it to this thread. Does not have to be a BOA band, I will add it anyway.
I will update this post with the shows as they come in.
Ohio
Hilliard Bradley HS- "The Bachelor" Nordonia HS- "Autumn Leaves"
A couple corrections, since I saw both these bands tonight: Hilliard Bradley HS -- "Train of Thought" Nordonia HS -- "Remains of the Day" (Nordonia's repertoire includes "Autumn Leaves", though.) And some additions; a selection of some other Ohio bands who were at the same event: Crestwood HS -- "Bright Ideas" Firestone HS -- "Enlightened" Hoover HS -- "Voices in the Night" Lexington HS -- "Interstellar" Louisville HS -- "Ouroboros" Revere HS -- "High Above the Clouds: The Last Flight" Most of those groups have appeared in BOA in the past few years.

Clinton H.S., MS — “Silence is Golden” Oh no. I'm guessing this is actually about silent films, judging by their props. I'm pretty this is a false alarm on the Disturbed front.

I'd be very curious to see this show, as I have enjoyed a number of silent films. My two favorites are the Soviet film Battleship Potemkin and Charlie Chaplin's City Lights.
