I got 202/264! Not bad! I missed some obvious ones though. Kinda Crazy how it really hasn't been THAT many different bands

228/264 even with somehow LD Bell not going through. There's quite a few bands that I never thought of as SA finalists, so that was cool!

I typed Carmel in multiple times because I thought it wasn’t working, and I started getting upset. 🙃 Can’t believe it’s been over 20 years now. Ugh 👴🏻

Ugh 👴🏻 My oldest son was on the Drumline of the 2002 Carmel "crew" that ventured down to San Antonio that year. He's been on the Carmel staff for a dozen years now and he still talks about that weekend in glowing terms... Good times. 😁

Interesting tidbit - all four SASR bands attending GN are on the same panel for this event.

I feel like Hebron not attending is a good move. Gives the kids a break between UIL and leaving for GN. 8 days ish.

I feel like Hebron not attending is a good move. Gives the kids a break between UIL and leaving for GN. 8 days ish. I know it helped a lot for texas bands in 2019 to have a decent period after SA before traveling to Indy. I can’t imagine what it was like in 2021 and 2022 for the programs that faced BOA SA, UIL, then Indy one after the other. I think the thing people forget is that during the time up there, there’s a lot of rehearsals and such but without the recovery of resting at home. That is exhausting. Better to arrive with a full tank than half drained already.

I think panel one takes Vandegrift, Cedar Ridge, Cedar Park easy leaving room for Rouse and Westlake to round it out. Keller Central seems promising, so they may have a shot as well but they haven’t competed so it’s a difficult call to make.
Panel two is looking a lot more competitive, I’m a believer the panels are the most lopsided we’ve seen them to date. Realistically I think RR, VR, CTJ, Reagan, TW and Marcus are in with one of them being the unlucky to be in entirely on score than on panel.
