Wasn't Carroll H.S. (Southlake), TX confirmed at some point or did I miss a retraction? I thought they were just rumored? Very possible I missed something.

Exciting for Rosemount! I wonder what rotation they're hoping to settle into? Maybe they're just trying to establish a presence before they start a rotation cycle? I think that’d be the case since they’re doing that and the Rose Bowl next season I see it as a perfect plan to bolster the size of the band back to what it was after being down 40-60 kids than normal this season Though I don’t think they’ll do St. Louis due to both of the big trips costing a lot, perhaps they’ll attend a more local regional or competition?

Rosemount has a home football game the day before St. Louis, so I don't think they'll be going. Minnesota's marching competitions wrap up the week before with YIM, so the only 2 competitions that I can think of them going to on the 15th would be either the Mid-Iowa Band Championships in Ankeny, IA (Most Likely) or the Quad State Band Championships in Vermillion, SD (Least Likely).

I can't seem to find any hard evidence as to them going but some users seemed rather sure of it a few weeks ago (closer to the beginning of this thread and also on TXBands). I'm not entirely sure.

I'm not putting a ton of reliance on this, but I saw this comment on a Broken Arrow video just three days ago. Assuming this is Lincoln Way? If so, great news.
"my band couldn’t go to Grand Nationals but this summer we are! It would be amazing to go up against broken arrow -lwmb player"

LW could be Lincoln-Way or Lakota West, I think. Do you remember which video it was on? EDIT: Found it, Lakota East and West rotate each year right? That's right, good point. I was more fixated on the way they typed "LWMB" as opposed to "LWHS" since it's a combined band at Lincoln Way. Either school attending would be great, really.

Either school attending would be great, really. That's actually a fantastic point. Googling LWMB only shows Lincoln-Way, and it seems that that's the acronym they use for themselves. I would put money on this being about Lincoln-Way.

It's 99% Lincoln-Way (one can learn a lot using just a YouTube commenter's screen name), but "summer?"

But the Iowa Regional is the same weekend as the Rosemount home show... That'd be a big loss of fund raising money, in a very expensive year with GN and Rose Parade. There's still a TBD competition on the calendar for the weekend of St Louis, so I'm wondering if that's still a possibility.

DROP: Loveland H.S., CO With both Flagstaff and St. George being both 10-12 hour drives from Loveland, I’d say they still have a very robust schedule considering its been a few years since BOA participation for them.

Rumored: Leander H.S., TX I’m doubtful of this for a few reasons. Probably most important of all is the fact that Leander usually announces GN trips by now to aid fundraising. Leander isn’t the Title I school it was a decade ago, but the means are still “modest” enough to require some headway into the trip. There’s one other important reason, but that’ll present itself later.

Isn’t Leander doing some sort of parade this year? I didn’t think they’d go to nats this year.

Robert Selaiden sent out a message saying that they will be announcing an “out of state” trip at a fundraiser meeting soon so It’ll be nats or St. Louis.

Rosemount is pretty good at fund raising so money wouldn’t be too much of an issue with just grand nats and the rose parade. The possibility of St. Louis though is extremely low considering that they have a foodball game right before the TBD competition. It’d be hard to travel all the way to St. Louis without and extra day if free time, so I don’t see em going this year which saddens me alittle bit

A certain Texas band whose name begins with a W, that has never attended Grand Nationals before (to my knowledge), is highly speculated to attend.

Full list of Texas bands starting with W that have competed in BOA but not attended GNs: West Campus, W.R. Ray, Weslaco East, Winnsboro, Western Hills, Weslaco, W.H. Adamson, Wimberley, Willis, Wagner, William B. Travis, William J. Brennan, Wills Point, W.E. Boswell, W. Charles Akins, William Howard Taft, Wylie, Waller, Waxahachie, Weiss, Westwood, Wylie East, Westlake. My guess is Waxahachie, Weiss, Westlake, Westwood, or Wylie East.

One of those is correct. 😁 LOL. A cliffhanger. Here’s another cliffhanger — I just found out they’re *trigger warning* “confirmed” to attend, but I have to wait to add them until it’s made public. This also goes for another Michigan band that isn’t in the confirmed column yet, either. 👀 It’ll be exciting to see if the heavy-hitters in Michigan that do BOA end up attending all at once!
