My guess is that it has to do with all bands advancing. I bet they will do class placements tonight at the finals awards ceremony.

I think it’s a time issue. Instead of loading the drum majors out there now, they can have a longer time before Finals. Right because 15 takes a long time yeah

Wow, Fairfield is a big band! Largest band of the day? Definitely old school style marching band.

Surprised I've never heard of Fairfield before given how huge of a band they are. Do they dabble in BOA competitions frequently?

I really love Homesteads show! Much different in person then on the stream. The mics in the stream pick up too much of the electronics. Unfortunately they had some mic trouble at the beginning.
I like Jenison’s show too. Very well put together.

For perspective: Fairfield is one of the just-north-of-the-city suburbs of Cincinnati (just outside the loop). You can travel through the districts for Fairfield, Lakota East/West, Mason, and Kings without turning off of Tylersville Rd. Fairfield has always had a great concert program, right along with Mason and the Lakotas. They used to host the DCI show in the area before it moved up to Hamilton. You can do similar in the Dayton suburbs with Miamisburg, Centerville, Bellbrook, Kettering Fairmont, and Beavercreek without breaking a streak, although not on one road.

I am digging Carroll’s pre-show and opener! I would say my favorite opener from them ever. The rest of the show is typical Carroll (which isn’t bad... just lower end of state finals IMO). The visual package is lacking.
